Want to give your shoes a new look? Try the Sawtooth lacing method. This technique is ideal for flat elastic laces and works best on shoes with 8 eyelets on each side. Do you have shoes with 7 eyelets? No problem! You can easily adapt the method by skipping the first or last eyelet. This method gives your sneakers a sleek, trendy appearance and ensures a comfortable fit. Follow our step-by-step guide and transform your shoes!
Step 1
Place the sneaker in front of you with the toe facing you and thread the white lace through the first eyelet (on the side of the instep) of the shoe. Make sure to pull the lace out from the inside of the shoe at the top eyelet.
Step 2
Now take the longest end of the lace and thread the aglet through the other eyelet opposite the bottom eyelet.
Step 3
Next, thread the lace from the inside of the shoe diagonally across and then insert the lace back into the opposite side, creating a straight lace parallel to the bottom one.
Step 4
Repeat this process and you will see a pattern emerge. Make sure the diagonal lace is visible on the inside and the straight lace is on the outside, as shown in the image below.
Step 5
Finally, pull the lace from the inside to the outside through the top eyelet, and you're done!
